About Olivia's Work

Olivia is a British artist based in London, who uses the natural world and built environment to inspire her work. Primarily using watercolours, acrylic, ink and pen, Olivia challenges traditional conceptions of scale and colour to create unique stories which transcend time and place. 

Olivia grew up surrounded by the historic landscape of Worcestershire, spending much time in the neighbouring counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. Enlivened by the world around her, Olivia was inspired by centuries of creativity, traditional crafts, architecture and life in the country. 

After school, Olivia followed her passion of History to study at Edinburgh University; as sketching, painting and drawing continued behind the scenes. In 2020, back in Worcestershire during lockdown, Olivia re-found her love of painting, and discovered a new, unique style, which led to features in Cotswold Life, local newspapers, and a collaboration with jewellery brand Pi London.
